yeah this isn't so much mixed together cos i smoked far too much last night and was
pretty battered which only made the funk funkier, so i was all grooving about to the tunes
rather than cracking on with the mix n blend

some murderous tunes on that mix though

enjoy!!

that was a charity shop special a couple of squid i think    it's got the original break used by de la soul in iti also got eh detroit spinners album off of ebay and my mum gave me the geno washington things as a hand me down (cheers mum!  thumbs up)

the all the people - cramp your style & dennis coffey - theme to black belt jones are on the same 12"
which i was forced to buy after hearing smooth the hustler freestyling over the break, which i later discovered was also used by krs one = still number 1. Fucking LOVE that tune, and the original such a dirty dirty slice of bad ass funk.
Most of the other bits i found on those compilation albums like dusty fingers vol3, strictly breaks etc
've got a few of them now, but they all look the same so i can never remember which tunes are on which... right pain in the ass that is...

I love all those compilations. A mate of mine had one with all the most commonly sampled tunes by hip-hop dj's. It had Apache, The Mexican, and loads of others that I cant remember, but every single one had a well recognised break. I think the only tune on there that it did'nt have was "Amen, My Brother", which it should have had, as that is the daddy of all breakbeats.
