The forum's various pages seem to be taking a lot longer to load than usual - especially the homepage. I couldn't get into it at all yesterday afternoon at work, and it seems to quite sluggish at home too.

Dunno if the problem's at my end or not, but I thought as my work connection simply didn't work, there may be something else going on.

Just to let you know.

I will be doing some more work to it over the weekend though
so hopefully that'll fix it up...

i've now added a little thingy that times how long it takes to create the page

right at the bottom

here an example:

Page created in 5.436 seconds with 26 queries.



if you see it taking really ages post it in here with what you were clicking on
so i can use a process of elimantion to define what the problem is

seems to be wrking a bit better for me now

most pages loads in less than 0.5 seconds

(check the counter at the bottom of the page for your figures)
if anyone is getting 5seconds + please let me know
(and alsomention how you are logging onto the site

i.e. dial up, broadband etc etc

Yo Gords,

I was just in the unread topics page and tried to go back to the homepage by clicking on "home" at the top and it took me about 5 attempts. It just kept on looking like it was loading, then just bringing up the same page over and over.

It was actually starting to give me the fear.... I thought I'd landed in another loop again.

is having some sort of spak attack at the mo

they went down altogether for about 3 hoursd yesterday afternoon
