SUCK MY BASS

Whether you are a Stone Roses fan or not - and I am by the way -  this is a truly wicked album that pays deserved tribute to one of the most important bands that this country has ever seen.

One of my favourite things about this album is the sheer variety of musical styles that are present on it. With collaborating artists such as Jon Carter, Utah Saints, Grooverider and 808 State ( to name but a few) there is some quality noise on here that truly shows how much The Stone Roses were appreciated and revered by not only thier adoring public, but also by their peers.

Here are some testamonials by the contirbuting artists:

""The Stone Roses were the first band to come along since Pink Floyd who knew how to use electronic and acoustic intruments together. They had the focus, the vision, and the rhythm. Poetic atmospheric bliss. To remix both 'Fools Gold' and 'I Wanna Be Adored', I know what heaven feels like"
Rabbit In The Moon

"I was working at Eastern Bloc inManchester when The Stone Roses first album came out. They married awe inspiring songwriting with acid house attitude and 'Waterfall' was my favourite fo all time, I used to play it in my more Balearic sets."
Justin Robertson

"I'm no clown, I wont back down,
I dont need you to tell me what's going down"
Grooverider.

Tracklist:

Remixer - Track

Soul Hooligan - Shoot You Down
A Guy Called Gerald - Fool's Gold
808 State - Made of Stone
Paul Oakenfold & Steve Osborne - Waterfall
Utah Saints - One Love
Rabbit in the Moon - I Wanna Be Adored
Grooverider - Fool's Gold
Jon Carter - I Am The Resurrection
Justin Robertson - Watefall
Elephant - She Bangs The Drums

Yeah man that's not the worst.

This is the craziest one

"We wanted to make a passive grey song out of a strong brown one. Skipped to the loo with it loke a remix should. Not to reinvent, but to reference, with a lazy nod, and an autumn cough. Not to throw paint, but to finger paint an underarm throw, because a little wink is sometimes befitting of a big, hard stare. So small a thing. You have to love your sandwich in order for it to make you happy. This one has. Thanks."
Elephant

I dont know whether they were trying to be poetic there or summat but it all sounds a bit pretentious to me.
