Hello boys and girls,
Having finally mastered the art of Ableton, I have done a mix that I've been planning on doing for a bit. It's kind of a history lesson, so pay attention.
Basically as you all should know, I love breaks, or breakbeat, or nu skool breaks, or whatever you want to call it. I also love spreading the love of music, so here is a collection of tunes from back-in-the-day, when the "breaks" genre first started to define itself as a separate and distinct entity.
These are some of the tunes that have shaped the way breaks is now and I think they all still hold up against the stuff that's coming out today (apart from the last one and some other little bits that have found their way in. They really have nothing to do with breaks at all. Ahhh, the joys of Abelton!)
