I saw Crtl-Z and Inch ripped it hard (you may even be able to hear me shouting out "GO ON INCHEY!!" at the start of his mix). Missed Sunz of Mecha and Uberzone which was a bit of a bad show, but Inchey's set was roooooooood. He started off with the intro from Stereo:Typical, then in went into a Muse tune (the one with the phat bass riff at the start), then slammed in with the breaks. I saw Ed209, Ollywood and who I think was Ken Mac hanging around the in the back so it was a proper HB party. LUSH!
Another highlight was Foreign Beggars on Sunday. Fuckin wicked! They played a baad set with the whole band, including a cover of Running Away by Pharcyde with freestyled lyrics about Glasto, and then Schlomo came out and did one of the best beatbox sessions I've ever heard. He did Hip Hop by Dead Prez, Put Your Hands Up For Detroit, and a coupla DnB tunes which I recognise but dont know the names of. Then he did a Dj/ Beatbox battle with Dj NoName, in which he pissed all over the Dj. They ended by playing a Mickey Finn rmx of Hold On, which was really phat in essence, but sounded rubbish. I think Mr. Finn rushed the production of it to get it Glasto cos it was a really shite mix.
I also saw a bit of Adam Freeland, who played a really techy, electroey set which was pretty lush. Saw Mr. Pilgrem & Chickaboo who were wicked (ended on the Balde rmx), then Plumps were right after them. I thought they were a bit broing to be honest, so be and my mate went over to the Dance West tent and got fucking blown away by Trentemoller live. Fucking hell that was phat. Not my usual cup of tea at all but some of the most interesting dance music I've heard for a while, and the system in Dance West was unbelievable. Me and my mate were stood right in front of the stack and could literally feel the air in our lungs shaking with the bass, and talking to each other was virtually impossible. However, when we left, we had no ringing or anything in our ears - perfect set up in there.
I missed so much tho, but that's the trouble when it's really wet and muddy. It makes moving about sooooo difficult. I really wanted to see Ned's Atomic Dustbin on Friday night, but I was at the Dance Village and they were in the LeftField stage, which was fucking miles away. The mud makes every journey take about twice as long and makes you about thrice as knackered when you get there so it's easier not to bother. Plus you cant just sit down anywhere like you can when it's sunny. Nevetheless, I will be going next time as it's just too massive an experience to miss.
