but we're now on the latest version of the forum software and it's loving life again

where do you set up a forum like this? or did you set it up all yourself?

just wondering im not looking to create a forum just interested in how it all works...

yeah you need a domain name, hosting and various other techincal bits
then u go to somewehre like smf (liink is at the bottom of the page)

download the software - install it on your webserver and off you go
