Being surrounded by wannabes and no one to talk too about digital production hasn`t really made me better at it...... so if i ask stupid and obvious questions in the future i appologize.

For a few years i tried looking for people who could explain me in depth how thing work and why.... but there is no one in my neck of the woods.... so in one last chance i`m hopping u could lend me a hand.

here is my home setup

  behringer  TRUTH B2031A       monitors
  M-Audio Delta 1010 light         soundcard
  no middi..................................yet

computer is good enough for the task
  software used
FL Studio 8 ( its the only one i know best for some years )

feel free to give any tips along the way.......... or plug-ins
i`m mostly interested in knowing everything about basslines - like making wobblers and gritty ones

massive respect to you Vapour and 36th chamber crew........ you productions along with Jem One`s have a really big influence on me........ hopefully something will emerge Wink   fingers crosed  we are not worthy

  keep in touch

first bit of advice id give you  is to get rid of fruity loops and move onto a better sequencer

as for bass if you want that wobble sound u need to make your bass sample into layers

1 - filtered with a lp filter so you just have the sub bass
1 - filtered with a hp filter then use the modulation on your software sampler / synth to give it that modulating "wobble" sound

you can then add all sorts of effects to either of those 2 sounds

both layers should be tuned the same

you can add more than one layer (ive done bass sounds b4 that were split into 4 layers so i could make sure the bass was not hitting the kick or snare)

also try re sampling your layered bass into 1 wav file and repeating the process and also try pitch bending your bounced bass sound

!! OFFICIAL 36th CHAMBER TRAITOR !!

I'm a Big Man, my mumsy told me so...
I'm always right when it comes to stealing other peoples sound systems...
I have no musical ability at all which is why my tunes are all one note wonders, but i got a huge ego so don't tell me that whatever you do, else i'll be annoyed cos i'm a big man.
