I`ve been pondering upon this but always forgot to ask. A lot of tracks sound stereo enhanced and not by being stereo separated but as if the sound was coming from the back of my head and not from the centre front. I tried with various plug-ins and although they do sound somewhat different they morph the sound like shit and spoil everything and cant get even close. Do i need some kind of sound enhancement processor like the Behringer ULTRAFLEX PROEX3200 (just a guess) or some other external hardware ? Or can this be achieved by professional software?
Also id like to give some natural depth to my sound with a very fine reverb that doesn`t resonate on any frequency but gives it a very natural ambience. Is there any good software for that or can this also be accomplished via an external hardware ?
And since i`m on the subject what would be the needed gear for good sound quality ?

i work in mono these days

all of my samples are in mono

they get sent to my mixing desk as mono and then the desk makes all the channels inot the one stereo output

get a much better mix down this was as i find when your using stereo sounds they can sometimes be all over the place in width which can end up using up space in your mix

and also if you want to get your stuff on vinyl the mastering engineer will make everything below 150hz mono anyway as anything below those freq's will not cut well in stereo (itll make your tune really quiet on the record)

Heres a stupid question. How can u feed a mono signal to ur mixer and make it stereo ? And returning to my earlier question..... by making it mono will i be able to place the sound in any direction i wish without it morphing or phasing ? And about the reverb...... will i need an external reverb unit to get what i want ?
