Hailing from Newbury and originally a member of local funk heroes Big Boss Man, Nasser Bouzida has released three critically acclaimed solo albums as his alter ego The Bongolian. Blending elements of Funk, Soul and Jazz with grinding percussion and heavy Bongo rhythms, The Bongolian’s debut single Bongohead was met with huge critical acclaim. Later albums and tours (with a specially selected band) followed, as did opportunities to work with Holly Golightly, Morcheeba and many other leading artists. Be sure to catch Nass in his first ever hometown gig as The Bongolian.
