Saw this last night.

Wicked film. Watched the extended version that was like 3 hours long tho.
Which took a while, however it was well worth it. And turns out to be a wickedly dark
film, along the lines of Darkman (Liam Neeson's best film) but with the added dialogue
which clearly defines the characters making the film stand above the usual switch-yer-brain-off
actionfest Marvel franchises.

I've been told I shold have read the book before reading the film, which I failed to do. However
after watching the film i reckon i will read the book at some point.

I rkon this is  a 4 star effort, well worth the 3hours of your life it will cost to check it out.

I thought it was shit to be honest...

Probably awesome if you're a big fan of the book (Mikey was raving about it) but I thought it was po-faced, pretentious and too fucking long and I've been known to be a fan of pretentious shite!

hehehe

yeh I dunno whether pretentious is the word you're looking for,
it was entirely self-involved but i thought that made for a better film,
unlike stuff like yer spiderman films which contained a thoroughly lightweight script
probably drafted up at the last moment to gel together all the action scenes...

LOL yeah from what Mikey was telling me, the graphic novel was basically written as a massive critique/satire of the spiderman/xmen/superman comics of the day and basically tears those to pieces...

I dunno, I jus thought that they'd obviously struggled really hard 2 cram that much plot into a film that they'd almost forgotten to make a watchable film out of it.

But then what do I know, I watched MJ's Moonwalker last night.

Robo-Peado-Transforming action FTW! bat
