Work is over. Uni is out. Let’s celebrate! To kick-off the Christmas party season, Corsica Studios brings you its latest bass-driven meltdown, RAISE.

Raise is very simple. The best acts in bass-heavy music over two rooms, all profits to charity. Misbehaving has never done so much good.

ROOM 1

COKI [90 minutes] – A man who needs little introduction. One half of Digital Mystikz and an absolute pioneer, Coki will be pushing the breakneck, rinsing dubstep sound he helped to invent. Two words: Horrid Henry.

REMARC – A jungle legend who has pushed the art of drum editing to another level. With an instantly recognisable hiphop-influenced style, every one of Remarc’s tracks is an anthem. You won’t know what’s hit you.

TERROR DANJAH AND DREAM MCLEAN [Exclusive: premiere live performance] – The godfather of grime, whose critically-acclaimed Undeniable LP has just dropped on Kode 9’s revered Hyperdub imprint, teams up with one of the scene’s most creative up & coming MCs. Together they’ve produced some memorable sessions in the studio – we’re proud to present the duo live in London for the first time. Dream will also be performing a 30 minute live PA of his own material.

SEVEN – Tipped to be “one of the leading names in dubstep” in 2011 by Knowledge Magazine, Seven comes armed with a bunch of brand new heavyweight dubplates and high profile remixes. Beyond a significant talent for production, he has achieved notoriety for having a skill on the decks that makes entertaining a crowd look easy.

ROOM TWO

BRACKLES b2b MARTIN KEMP [90 minutes] – The leader of the incredibly forward-thinking dubstep/ garage /funky fusion that’s developed monumentally over the past year, Brackles’ productions have attracted attention the world over. Going back to back with him is one of the most exciting young talents of 2010. Martin Kemp has used Brackles’ highway into whole new regions of modern dance music and used it to build A-roads and dirt tracks that have now established a strong following on the dubstepforum full of curious ears. Two producers, who are constantly exploring new territories between genres and ultimately pioneering an entirely new sound, going back to back for 90 minutes.

THE HEATWAVE – The undisputed champions of dancehall and bashment in the UK; The Heatwave crew annihilate dances with their energetic, pumped and lively style. See what all the fuss is about.

SHAOLIN DRUNKEN MONK – An undercover legend who has been in the game since before you realised the game existed, SDM will be cutting and scratching his way through a refined hiphop selection.

Support across both rooms comes from the Raise crew, seasoned DJs keeping you on your toes with a blend of dubstep, funky, grime, jungle, garage, breaks, rnb, dnb, hiphop, glitch-hop, juke... you get the idea.

Seasonal treats throughout the night. £5/8 advanced tickets, more on the door.

I remember when I first saw Smoothie and thinking, 'yeah that's some real nice man meat right there', If I were a ladio I'd sit on his bald headed champion until sun down!
