The Shaolin Drunken Monk began his journey with the purchase of a shiny new set of turntables, he began spinning with a strictly drum and bass outlook but always with an ear on other things such as Hip Hop, Deckology and Funk.

After a few years building a vinyl collection and some mandatory turntable skills it became time to start organizing the parties in order to play the tunes to the people. The 36th Chamber was soon founded and quickly got to work promoting parties in Newbury UK.

Around this time the Drunken Monk got a job with the distribution company Nu Urban Music and it was all drum and bass, tunes, parties and good times.

These days he can still be found at the weekly sunday night residency each week although virtually all the venues of Newbury, several clubs in Bristol, Glade festival and Movement in Bar Rhumba have all at some point been host to the drunken monk sound.

He is a keen vinyl enthusiast and has amassed a fair collection of drum and bass, hip hop and a variety of assorted other music accumulated over the years.
