Ez peeps, Mikey here. I'm a Breakz producer and DJ, specialising in the "Tearout" sound pioneered by the Hardcore Beats collective. Basically the tearout sound is where it’s at as far as I'm concerned. Raw, gritty, grimey, phat and phunky... as all good dance music should be in my opinion. I've just had a tune come out on 36th Chamber recordings. It's a stompy breaks remix of "Make Em Bleed" by DJ Vapour and peeps in the DnB world have seemed to like it so I'm hoping the same vibes will be felt by the breaks hedz.I also have another 2 tunes – “The Power” and “Thunderfucked” - coming out soon on the digital label, Suck My Breaks, with another one in the pipeline. I DJ at nearly all the Thump events, including the very successful Beat Clinic nights at Cuba in Newbury, Berkshire. I also play alongside other promoters in the area such as the almighty 36th Chamber, Carnage, Tandava (psy-trance) and the odd Deviant Soundsystem reunion. I’ve played next to the likes of Angel Farringdon, Broadbeatz, Aquasky, DJ Vapour and Jem-One. That's about all from me. Just remember, keepin it real means just that... don't be fooled into thinking that how many possessions you own is what defines you. P.S. Say no to bling, it don't mean a thing!! |
